تستعد جزيرة فانواتو لمواجهة إعصار قوي، وأعلنت إدارة الارصاد والمخاطر الجغرافية المحلية اليوم الثلاثاء أن عاصفة لولا الاستوائية أصبح تصنيفها من الفئة الأقوى وهى 5 ، وسوف " تصل سرعتها المدمرة " إلى 230 كيليومترا في الساعة.
وتحمل زوابع تصل سرعتها إلى 320 كيلومترا في الساعة خلال الـ24 ساعة المقبلة.

وصدر تحذير للأقاليم المتضررة، مما يعني أنه يجب على السكان التوجه لأماكن آمنة فورا.

كما جرى نقل العشرات لمراكز إجلاء كإجراء احترازي، وتتوقع إدارة الارصاد و المخاطر الجغرافية المحلية هطول أمطار غزيرة وفيضانات غامرة خاصة بالقرب من الساحل.
وحذرت الادارة من ارتفاع أمواج البحر.

وستتأثر منطقة الرياض بأمطار متوسطة إلى غزيرة تؤدي إلى جريان السيول وتساقط البرد ورياح هابطة مثيرة للأتربة والغبار لتشمل الرياض العاصمة والدرعية وضرما والمزاحمية وحريملاء والخرج والدلم والحريق وحوطة بني تميم ومرات وعفيف والدوادمي والقويعية وشقراء والغاط والزلفي والمجمعة ورماح والرين وثادق.
وأشارت المديرية إلى أن مناطق المدينة المنورة وتبوك وحائل والقصيم والشرقية والحدود الشمالية والجوف والباحة وعسير ستتأثر بأمطار متوسطة إلى غزيرة.

في حين يستمر تأثير الرياح النشطة المثيرة للأتربة والغبار على أجزاء من منطقتي الرياض ونجران.
كذلك على الأجزاء الشرقية من منطقتي عسير والباحة، يمتد تأتيرها إلى الأجزاء الغربية من منطقتي حائل والجوف.
