المملكة تستضيف المؤتمر التاسع لوزراء البيئة في العالم الإسلامي /عاجل

تحت رعاية خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ـ حفظه الله ـ، تستضيف المملكة المؤتمر التاسع لوزراء البيئة في العالم الإسلامي، ويتوج معالي وزير البيئة والمياه والزراعة المهندس عبدالرحمن بن عبدالمحسن الفضلي،

(21) فائزاً من (18) دولة إسلامية بجائزة المملكة للإدارة البيئية في العالم الإسلامي بدورتها الحالية، بحضور (52) من وزراء البيئة في الدول الإسلامية، وممثلي (30) منظمة إقليمية ودولية معنية بالشأن البيئي، وذلك تزامناً مع انعقاد المؤتمر يومي 3 - 4 ربيع الآخر 1445هـ، 18 - 19 أكتوبر الجاري في جدة.

وأعرب الوزير الفضلي، عن شكره وتقديره لخادم الحرمين الشريفين ـ أيده الله ـ، على رعايته لهذا المؤتمر وجائزة المملكة للإدارة البيئية في العالم الإسلامي، التي تعد مصدر تشجيع للاهتمام بالعمل البيئي المشترك في العالم الإسلامي، وانفتاحه على التجارب العالمية في مجال البيئة وحمايتها، والعمل على الحفاظ على مقوماتها، والعناية بقضايا التنمية المستدامة بصفة عامة،

من خلال تقدير جهود الأفراد والمؤسسات المعنية بتدبير الموارد الطبيعية لتحقيق الفائدة المطلوبة للأجيال الحاضرة والقادمة على السواء، مقدماً التهنئة للفائزين في الدورة الحالية للجائزة.

وأوضح، أن الجوائز تتوزع على (4) فروع تشمل: أفضل البحوث والإنجازات والممارسات البيئية، وأفضل الممارسات أو الأنشطة الريادية في مجال البيئة والتنمية المستدامة لجمعيات النفع العام والجمعيات الأهلية التي يمكن تعميمها في الدول الأعضاء، إضافة إلى الأنشطة الريادية للمرأة في العمل البيئي، وأفضل مدينة إسلامية خضراء صديقة للبيئة، وتهتم بالأعمال المتميزة التي يقوم بها الأفراد والمؤسسات والهيئات والمنظمات العامة والخاصة العاملة في مختلف مجالات البيئة والتنمية المستدامة، وذلك تقديراً لإسهاماتهم البارزة في التوفيق بين البيئة والتنمية الاقتصادية والاجتماعية، في إطار شمولي ومتكامل يسهم في تحقيق أهداف التنمية المستدامة 2030م.

يذكر أن جائزة المملكة للإدارة البيئية في الدول الإسلامية، تهدف إلى ترسيخ وتبني المفهوم الواسع للبيئة والتنمية المستدامة وتحسين جودة الحياة، ووضع حلول مبتكرة علمية وعملية للمشكلات البيئية الحالية والمستقبلية، إضافة إلى تعزيز الانفتاح والتفاعل العلمي والعملي والقانوني على المستوى الوطني والإقليمي والعالمي في تناول قضايا البيئة والتنمية المستدامة وتنزيلها على أرض الواقع.
