استقبل صاحب السمو الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله وزير الخارجية، في ديوان الوزارة بالرياض، اليوم، معالي وزير خارجية الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية أنتوني بلينكن.
وأكّد سمو وزير الخارجية في بداية اللقاء، رفض المملكة القاطع لدعوات التهجير القسري للشعب الفلسطيني من غزة، معرباً عن إدانته لاستهداف المدنيين بأي شكل.

وشدّد سموه على مطالبة المملكة بالوقف الفوري لإطلاق النار في غزة ومحيطها، ورفع الحصار عن القطاع تماشياً مع القانون الدولي، والعمل على ضمان دخول المساعدات الإنسانية الملحّة من غذاءٍ ودواء، والحاجة إلى بذل جهدٍ جماعي سريع لوقف دوامة العنف المستمرة، وكافة أشكال التصعيد العسكري ضد المدنيين لمنع حدوث كارثة إنسانية.
وأوضح سموّه أن الأولوية الآن هي العمل على منع سقوط المزيد من المدنيين الأبرياء نتيجةً لدوامة العنف المستمرة، وشدد على ضرورة التزام إسرائيل بالقانون الدولي الإنساني، وأن أي أعمال تتنافى مع القانون الدولي والقانون الدولي الإنساني ستفاقم من عمق الأزمة الحالية، وتزيد المعاناة في تلك المنطقة.
وأوضح سمو الوزير أن الحوار هو المسار الوحيد لإيجاد حلٍ سياسي عادل وشامل للنزاع، وأن على المجتمع الدولي أن يضطلع بمسؤوليته لوقف العنف والدفع بعملية السلام وفقاً لقرارات مجلس الأمن والجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، ومبادرة السلام العربية.
حضر الاستقبال، صاحبة السمو الملكي الأميرة ريما بنت بندر بن سلطان سفيرة خادم الحرمين الشريفين لدى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، ووكيل الوزارة للشؤون السياسية الدكتور سعود الساطي.
