أجرى الشيخ محمد بن زايد آل نهيان رئيس الدولة، الأحد، اتصالات هاتفية مع الملك عبدالله الثاني بن الحسين عاهل المملكة الأردنية الهاشمية، وعبد الفتاح السيسي رئيس جمهورية مصر العربية، وبشار الأسد رئيس الجمهورية العربية السورية، وإسحاق هرتسوغ رئيس دولة إسرائيل وجاستن ترودو رئيس وزراء كندا، تتعلق بتطورات الأوضاع التي تشهدها المنطقة.
وبحث رئيس الدولة مع القادة -خلال الاتصالات- ضرورة وقف التصعيد والتهدئة وممارسة أقصى درجات ضبط النفس لحماية جميع المدنيين والحفاظ على أرواحهم..إضافة أهمية التحرك العاجل من قبل المجتمع الدولي لاحتواء التوتر ودفع الجهود المبذولة تجاه مسار السلام الشامل والعادل الذي يضمن عدم إدخال المنطقة في أزمات جديدة تهدد أمنها واستقرارها.
