الخطيب: إطلاق مدرسة الرياض للسياحة والضيافة باستثمارات تتجاوز مليار دولار

الرياض – مباشر: كشف وزير السياحة السعودي، أحمد الخطيب، اليوم الأربعاء، عن إطلاق مدرسة الرياض للسياحة والضيافة في مدينة القدية، باستثمار تتجاوز قيمتها مليار دولار (3.75 مليار ريال).
وأضاف الخطيب، خلال كلمته الافتتاحية في يوم السياحة العالمي بالرياض، أنه سيتم افتتاح المدرسة في عام 2027 في القدية.
وأشار الخطيب، إلى أن المملكة تعمل على بناء ما بين 400 و500 ألف غرفة فندقية جديدة وذلك في مشاريع نيوم والقدية والدرعية وغيرها، منوها بأن هذا ما تم إعلانه من الجانب الحكومي فقط، أما القطاع الخاص فإنه سيقوم بإضافة أكثر من ذلك.
وسلط وزير السياحة الضوء على المقومات التي يتمتع بها قطاع السياحة في خلق فرص عمل حول العالم.
وقال الوزير، في كلمته: "أرى مستقبلا يكون فيه الإنسان هو المحور الأساسي في قطاع السياحة، وبينما تهدد أتمتة الإجراءات بعض الوظائف في القطاعات الأخرى، إلا أن قطاع السياحة مولد رئيسي لفرص العمل".
وأردف: "نحتاج إلى توفير مليون فرصة عمل في قطاع السياحة خلال السنوات العشر المقبلة، لقد أوجدنا بالفعل نحو 200 ألف وظيفة ونحتاج إلى 800 ألف فرصة عمل إضافية لملء الغرف الجديدة".
