وزير الخارجية: المملكة تقف إلى جانب الشعوب الإسلامية للحفاظ على هويتها / عاجل

شارك صاحب السمو الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله وزير الخارجية، اليوم، في اجتماع مجموعة الاتصال حول جامو وكشمير والذي تنظمه منظمة التعاون الإسلامي، وذلك على هامش أعمال الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة بدورتها الـ78.
وألقى سمو وزير الخارجية كلمة في الاجتماع، أكد فيها على وقوف المملكة إلى جانب الشعوب الإسلامية في الحفاظ على هويتها الإسلامية، وصون كرامتها، وتقدّم دعمها للشعوب المتضررة في مناطق النزاعات والاضطرابات، ومن ضمنها سكان إقليم جامو وكشمير.

وأشار سموه إلى أن قضية جامو وكشمير تشكّل أحد التحديات الملحّة التي تواجه أمن واستقرار المنطقة.، وإذا بقيت القضية دون حلّ، فسينعكس ذلك على مزيد من عدم الاستقرار في المنطقة.
وأوضح سموه بأن المملكة تقوم بجهود حثيثة للتوسط بين أطراف النزاع لخفض التصعيد والتهدئة والتسوية السلمية وفقاً للقرارات الدولية ذات الصلة، ويأتي ذلك انطلاقاً من موقفها الثابت بالوقوف إلى جانب الشعوب الإسلامية.
