The day after a UN request to stop the escalation, Al-Mashat was in Hodeidah to send Iranian threats

 The Houthi leaders continue to use threats and intimidation to cover up the internal crisis that the group is experiencing in light of the escalation of protests demanding the payment of looted salaries.

 Close to the headquarters of the United Nations Mission to Implement the Hodeidah Agreement (UNMHA), the head of the Houthi Political Council, Mahdi Al-Mashat, responded to the calls made by the mission regarding stopping the escalation in order to bring peace to Hodeidah and the continued exploitation of the Stockholm Agreement for militarization and all kinds of provocative actions.

The Houthi leader was speaking in an expanded meeting to launch the general agricultural policy for the Tihama Plain in Hodeidah Governorate.  Explaining that their militias now possess a missile force capable of striking any target in any city in neighboring countries and any place in Yemen - referring to the liberated areas under the control of the legitimate government.

Al-Mashat's confession confirms the fact that Hodeidah was used as a platform to promote hostile militia actions, starting with the threat to strike shipping traffic in the Red Sea and escalation by land or air through bomb marches.

 The Houthi statements came to confirm the truth of the reports and intelligence information that spoke of the Houthi militias receiving military support from Iran during the last period through the port of Hodeidah, which was reopened without any UN inspection or oversight.

Reports indicated that Iran is still providing military support, whether in terms of strengthening the missile system or drones, defying repeated international and UN warnings to stop these hostile actions that threaten the security and stability of Yemen and the region.

 This is not the first speech in which Al-Mashat and his predecessor, Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi, talk about escalation and threats to target areas of the Gulf states or areas under the control of the Yemeni government.  However, it confirms the dangerous situation that the militias have reached and the depth of their internal crises, which they are trying to escape from, the most important of which is the disbursement of salaries looted 8 years ago.

The Houthi leaders resorted to portraying that there was an external threat to their entity loyal to Iran, through preparations to launch a new war under the justification of rejecting their impossible conditions for peace.

 The Yemeni government, through its Minister of Information, Muammar Al-Eryani, confirms that the statements of the Houthi group, re-exploding the situation militarily, targeting the government and the Yemeni people in the liberated areas, and threatening the security and safety of navigation, are an open attempt to export its internal crises and escape from popular demands in the areas under its control, especially the payment of salaries.

Al-Eryani called on the international community, the United Nations, and the UN and American envoys to re-evaluate the way of dealing with the Houthi group, and to put real pressure on its leaders to abandon the language of weapons and violence, and to stop exploiting the existing state of non-war and non-peace to arrange a new round of war, and to deal seriously with efforts and calls for calm and peace.

 Al-Eryani pointed out that the Houthi group is exploiting the de-escalation situation to mobilize more fighters, recruit children, develop its weapons arsenal, and conduct weapons tests.
