بناء على توجيه خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ـ حفظه الله ـ ، واستجابة للدعوة الموجهة من دولة رئيس وزراء جمهورية الهند ، فقد غادر بحفظ الله ورعايته صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن سلمان ابن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء ـ حفظه الله ـ هذا اليوم السبت 24 / 2 / 1445هـ الموافق 9 / 9 / 2023م لترؤس وفد المملكة المشارك في قمة قادة دول مجموعة العشرين ، التي ستعقد في مدينة نيودلهي بجمهورية الهند ، والقيام بزيارة رسمية لجمهورية الهند لبحث العلاقات الثنائية ومناقشة القضايا ذات الاهتمام المشترك ، وعقد اجتماع مجلس الشراكة الاستراتيجية السعودي الهندي.
