"الصحة العالمية": كورونا يشهد ارتفاعاً مجدداً بالنصف الشمالي من الأرض

تشهد عدد حالات العدوى بفيروس كورونا المستجد ارتفاعاً من جديد في النصف الشمالي من الكرة الأرضية.

وأوضح المدير العام لمنظمة الصحة العالمية تيدروس أدهانوم جيبريسوس في جنيف اليوم، أن المنظمة تواصل متابعة اتجاهات مقلقة لكوفيد- 19 قبل فصل الشتاء في نصف الكرة الأرضية الشمالي.

فيما ذكرت كبيرة خبراء فيروس كورونا لدى المنظمة ماريا فان كيرخوف، أنه خلال الشهور الأشد برودة، التي باتت قريبة في النصف الشمالي من الكرة الأرضية، يتعرض الأشخاص لخطر أكبر للإصابة بالعدوى لأنهم يقضون وقتاً أطول في أماكن مغلقة.

وبحسب المنظمة الأممية تزداد حصيلة الوفيات بسبب فيروس كورونا مجدداً في الشرق الأوسط وآسيا، فيما تشهد أمريكا الشمالية وأوروبا وآسيا ارتفاعاً في حالات النقل إلى المستشفى بسبب كوفيد- 19.

وأفاد خبراء منظمة الصحة العالمية أنه سُجلت 42 حالة على مستوى العالم في 11 دولة من سلالة "بي إيه. 2 86" الجديدة المعروفة باسم بيرولا، التي ترصدها المنظمة منذ منتصف أغسطس.
