أكد وزير الاتصال الحكومي الأردني، الدكتور محمد المومني، أن دائرة المخابرات العامة قد تمكنت من إحباط مخططات تهدف إلى المساس بالأمن الوطني الأردني وإثارة الفوضى داخل المملكة، قائلاً إن الأجهزة الأمنية، تمكنت بمراقبة دقيقة من قبل دائرة المخابرات، من القبض على 16 شخصًا تورطوا في هذه الأنشطة التخريبية.
وأوضح الوزير، خلال مؤتمر صحفي، عرضته قناة "القاهرة الإخبارية"، أن هذه المخططات كانت جزءًا من أربع قضايا رئيسية بدأت منذ عام 2021، حيث عملت المخابرات على متابعة هذه الأنشطة عبر عمليات استخباراتية دقيقة استمرت لعدة سنوات.
