المملكة تؤكد التزامها بأحكام اتفاقية حظر الأسلحة الكيميائية وأهمية التنفيذ الكامل لها

شارك وفد المملكة العربية السعودية الدائم لدى منظمة حظر الأسلحة الكيميائية برئاسة سمو الأمير جلوي بن تركي بن جلوي القائم بأعمال سفارة المملكة لدى مملكة هولندا، في أعمال المجلس التنفيذي في دورة الـ 108 بلاهاي. وقدم الوفد بيانًا أكد فيه التزام المملكة بأحكام اتفاقية حظر الأسلحة الكيميائية وأهمية التنفيذ الكامل لها، وأن استخدام الأسلحة الكيميائية جريمة وانتهاك لقواعد الاتفاقية والقانون الدولي.

وأعرب عن دعمه لطلب دولة فلسطين بشأن مراقبة المنظمة للوضع في فلسطين، فيما رحب بالتطورات حيال الملف الكيميائي السوري، وأكد أهمية تعاون الدول الأطراف وتقديم الدعم اللازم للمنظمة وسوريا لحل الملف بشكل نهائي. ورحب باستنتاجات المؤتمر العالمي حول دور الذكاء الاصطناعي في تعزيز تنفيذ اتفاقية الأسلحة الكيميائية الذي عقد في الرباط العام الماضي.
