تمكن مستشفى الدكتور سليمان الحبيب بالخبر، من إجراء عملية متقدمة لإعادة بناء عظام الجمجمة عن طريق المنظار، لطفلة رضيعة تبلغ من العمر 60 يوماً، مصابة بعيب خلقي أدى لتشوه شكل الرأس ومحجر العين، وبروز العين من الجهة اليمنى ، ذكر ذلك الدكتور عبدالرزاق العوجان استشاري جراحة المخ والاعصاب والعمود الفقري للأطفال، رئيس الفريق الطبي المعالج.

googletag.cmd.push(function() { googletag.display('div-gpt-ad-1600588014572-0'); }); والذي أضاف فور وصول الطفلة للعيادة، وإخضاعها للفحص السريري، تبين أن حجم وقياسات الرأس تنمو بصورة غير طبيعية، مما أدى لتغير الشكل الطبيعي للرأس، وتم إجراء فحوصات دقيقة بالتصوير المقطعي ثلاثي الأبعاد (3D) على كامل الدماغ، وعدداً من التحاليل المخبرية، والتي أكدت نتائجها تعظم بروز عظم الجمجمة والتحام مفاصلها بشكل غير طبيعي.

مشيراً إلى أن العملية استغرقت ساعتين تحت التخدير العام، وتم فيها عمل فتحة بالجلد بطول 1 سم ونصف، ومن ثم تحرير وإستئصال الالتحام المبكر للعظم مع عمل فتحات وقص لتوسعة الجمجمة، وذلك بهدف إعطاء الفرصة لتمدد العظم والدماغ وتحسين شكل الرأس، نقلت بعدها الرضيعة إلى العناية المركزة للأطفال ووضعت تحت الملاحظة على مدار الساعة.
وأكد الدكتور العوجان أن جهود الفريق الطبي تكللت بالنجاح ولله الحمد، وخلال 24 ساعة على العملية تحسنت مؤشراتها الحيوية، وتم نقلها إلى جناح التنويم، وخرجت من المستشفى بعد 3 أيام وهي بصحة جيدة مع تحسن كبير في شكل الرأس، وأصبح نمو الدماغ يتم بالشكل المعتاد، دون الحاجة إلى استخدام خوذة الرأس الطبية والمخصصة لحماية ومعالجة مثل هذه الحالات المعقدة.
