روبيو يعلّق على المحادثات مع روسيا بشأن أوكرانيا

علّق وزير الخارجية الأميركي ماركو روبيو، اليوم الأحد، على المحادثات المحتملة مع روسيا الهادفة إلى إنهاء الأزمة الأوكرانية.
وقال روبيو، في مقابلة مع شبكة "سي بي إس" التلفزيونية على هامش مؤتمر ميونيخ للأمن في ألمانيا، إن "عملية السلام ليست أمرا يتم في اجتماع واحد".
ومن المقرر أن يقود روبيو فريقا أميركيا رفيع المستوى في النقاشات مع مسؤولين روس في الأيام المقبلة.
ولم يتضح بعد ما إذا كانت أوكرانيا ستشارك في النقاشات.
وقال وزير الخارجية الأميركي إنه ليس متأكدا حتى من هوية الممثلين الذين سترسلهم موسكو.
وأوضح أنه "لم يتم الانتهاء من أي شيء حتى الآن"، مضيفا أن الهدف هو البحث عن فرصة لمحادثات أوسع "تشمل أوكرانيا وتتضمن إنهاء الحرب".
ومن المتوقع أن يشارك في محادثات الرياض مستشار الأمن القومي الأميركي مايكل والتز والمبعوث الأميركي إلى الشرق الأوسط ستيف ويتكوف.
وتأتي هذه الخطوة بعد أيام من مكالمة هاتفية مطولة بين الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب ونظيره الروسي فلاديمير بوتين اتفقا خلالها على بدء مفاوضات وقف إطلاق النار "فورا".
وكان ترامب أكد، مرارا خلال حملته الانتخابية، أنه سينهي النزاع في يوم واحد إذا عاد إلى البيت الأبيض، لكن روبيو أكد أنه "لن يكون من السهل" حلّ النزاع الطويل والدامي والمعقد.
وفاجأت الاتصال بين ترامب وبوتين، بقية أعضاء حلف شمال الأطلسي (ناتو) وكذلك كييف، مع تأكيد الرئيس الأوكراني فولوديمير زيلينسكي أنه "لا ينبغي اتخاذ أي قرارات بشأن أوكرانيا بدون أوكرانيا".
وقال روبيو "في الوقت الحالي، لا توجد عملية سلام، ومكالمة هاتفية واحدة لا تصنع السلام".
وأضاف أنه بمجرد أن تبدأ "المفاوضات الحقيقية"، فإن أوكرانيا "يجب أن تشارك" فيها. أخبار ذات صلة
