أول مزاد عالمي في السعودية يشهد تحقيق أرقام قياسية لفنانين عرب

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN) -- شهدت المملكة العربية السعودية، السبت، إقامة المزاد الافتتاحي لدار "سوثبي" للمزادات، وهو أول مزاد عالمي كبير للفنون والمقتنيات الفاخرة في البلاد، وذلك في قلب الدرعية التاريخية، حيث حققت أعمال الفنانين الإقليميين مبيعات متميزة.
أفادت دار "سوثبي" بامتلاء المقاعد بالكامل خلال المزاد الذي حمل عنوان "الأصول"، وأُقيم في مدرج خارجي يتسع لـ 250 مقعدًا، وشارك فيه مشاركون من 45 دولة.
وعرض المزاد مزيجًا انتقائيًا من حوالي 120 قطعة للبيع، وشكّلت الأعمال الفنية نحو نصف هذا العدد، بينما شكلّت الساعات والمجوهرات ما يقرب من ربع هذا العدد، بالإضافة إلى 17 حقيبة يد لمصممين مختلفين، وعدة قطع تذكارية رياضية.
صرحت ريبيكا آن بروكتور، وهي مؤلفة كتاب "الفن في السعودية: اقتصاد إبداعي جديد؟"، التي حضرت المزاد:"قبل الأمسية، كان الجميع تقريبًا يعتقد أن قطاع الرفاهية سيتفوق على الأعمال الفنية المعروضة. لكن، لدهشة الجميع، حققت الفنون الجميلة نتائج قوية جدًا، ما يشير إلى الشهية القوية للفن السعودي والعربي".
