كشف مدير عام فرع المركز الوطني لتنمية الغطاء النباتي ومكافحة التصحر بالمنطقة الشرقية المهندس يوسف البدر لـ"اليوم"، عن خطط طموحة لتطوير شاطئ الزبنة.
وأوضح البدر أن الرؤية المستقبلية لشاطئ الزبنة تتضمن تحويله إلى منتجع بيئي متكامل، يضم مناطق مخصصة للتخييم والكرفانات، بالإضافة إلى شاطئ جميل ومنتزه بيئي واعد.

وأشار البدر إلى أن هذه الخطط التطويرية تأتي ضمن مبادرة إحياء شاطئ الزبنة، التي انطلقت برعاية كريمة من صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير سعود بن نايف بن عبدالعزيز أمير المنطقة الشرقية، وتهدف إلى رفع الوعي بأهمية الحفاظ على البيئة البحرية والبرية، وتنظيف الشواطئ.
