تفضل حضرةُ صاحبِ الجلالةِ السُّلطان هيثم بن طارق المعظم- حفظهُ اللهُ ورعاهُ- فشمل برعايته السّامية الكريمة المهرجان السُّلطانيَّ لسباق الخيل بمدينة العاديات في ولاية السّيب بمحافظة مسقط.
,قُبيْل وصولِ الموكب المُقلّ لجلالةِ السُّلطان المعظم- أيّدهُ الله- رافقت كوكبةٌ من الهجانة السُّلطانية الموكبَ السَّامي حتى بوابة مدينة العاديات، بعدها حفَّت الموكبَ السّامي كوكبةٌ من فرسان الخيالة السُّلطانية والحرس السُّلطاني العُماني من بوابة العاديات وصولًا إلى المقصورة الرئيسية.
لدى وصول جلالتِه- أعزّهُ اللهُ- إلى مدينة العاديات تشرّف باستقباله كلٌّ من معالي أمين عام شؤون البلاط السُّلطاني، وسعادة المهندس رئيسِ شؤون الخيل والهجن والمزارع والحدائق السُّلطانية، والدكتور مدير عام الخيالة السُّلطانية.
وعند اعتلاء جلالتِه المقصورة الرئيسية عزفت الفرقة الموسيقيّة السّلام السُّلطاني.
عقب ذلك، استُهِلَّ المهرجان بالفقرة الترحيبيّة التي تضمّنت عددًا من الفنون الشعبية العُمانية بمشاركة خيول الرقص وإبل الرزفة، وشملت الندبة، وهمبل الخيل، وقصافي الرزحة، ومحورب الخيل، إضافة إلى استعراض فن همبل الرزحة، وفن البرعة.
