نجحت قوات حرس الحدود فى إحباط محاولة تهريب كميات من المواد المخدرة ( نبات البانجو وجوهر الحشيش ) أثناء محاولة تهريبهم عبر الساحل الشرقى لخليج السويس، وقد تم إحالة المضبوطات إلى جهات الإختصاص لاتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية حيالها تنفيذًا لتوجيهات القيادة العامة للقوات المسلحة بتكثيف أعمال تأمين الحدود على كافة الإتجاهات الإستراتيجية للدولة.
وتواصل قوات حرس الحدود جهودها المكثفة ليلًا ونهارًا لإحكام السيطرة على المنافذ والمعابر الحدودية للدولة واتخاذ الإجراءات القانونية ضد العناصر الإجرامية.
