بفضل الله- تمكن مستشفى الدكتور سليمان الحبيب بالخبر، من إنقاذ حياة رجل ستيني، يعاني من نزيف حاد مهدد للحياة، مصدره جيوب بالأمعاء الدقيقة Diverticulosis، وتم استئصال جزء من الأمعاء الدقيقة يقارب طولها متر ، ذكر ذلك د. حفظي الرطروط استشاري جراحة الجهاز الهضمي والسمنة، رئيس الفريق الطبي المعالج.
والذي قال أن المراجع أسعف إلى قسم الطوارئ، بسبب النزيف الحاد، وفور وصوله خضع لفحوصات دقيقة بمنظار القولون والأشعة المقطعية Ct- scan، وأظهرت النتائج أن النزيف مصدره جيوب في الجزء العلوي من الأمعاء الدقيقة، فقام أطباء الأشعة التداخلية بإيقاف النزيف بشكل مؤقت، لكن النزيف عاود من جديد مما استدعى نقل دم للمراجع، وبعدها تم التواصل مع فريق طبي متخصص في جراحة الجهاز الهضمي لإيجاد حل نهائي للنزيف.

ونُقل المراجع بحالة صحية مستقرة إلى العناية المركزة، ووضع تحت المراقبة لنحو "48" ساعة، ومن ثم حُول إلى غرفة التنويم، حيث أمضى يومين آخرين، وظلت مؤشراته الحيوية وتحاليل الدم مستقرة وبحالة طبيعية، ثم غادر إلى منزله بحالة صحية جيدة، قبل أن يعود إلى العيادة بعد عدة أسابيع من العملية للمراجعة وأكدت الفحوصات أنه تعافى تماماً.
وختم د. الرطروط حديثه بالإشارة إلى أن النزيف الحاد الناتج عن جيوب الأمعاء الدقيقة نادر، وخطير في نفس الوقت، ويجب التعامل معه بحذر وبسرعة، لأن التأخير قد يعرض حياة المراجع للتهديد.
