غارديان: هل حان الوقت لتحصل كوريا الجنوبية على السلاح النووي؟

قال محلل الشؤون الخارجية سيمون تيسدال في مقال نشرته صحيفة غارديان إن الهدنة الهشة بين الكوريتين تتعرض لضغوط كبيرة، نظرا لتنامي جرأة كوريا الشمالية، والتوترات الداخلية التي تشهدها كوريا الجنوبية، مؤكدا أن ترسانة كوريا الشمالية النووية الضخمة وخطابها العدواني زادا من مخاوف نشوب صراع محتمل.
وحذر الكاتب من أن هناك شكوكا متزايدة في كوريا الجنوبية عما إذا كانت الولايات المتحدة ستتدخل لحمايتها في حال وقوع هجوم نووي، وقد أدى ذلك إلى تزايد الدعم المحلي لضرورة الحصول على قوة ردع نووية يمكنها أن تضمن أمن البلاد بشكل مستقل عن التدخل الأميركي.
ووفق المقال، قد تضعف الاضطرابات الداخلية التي تعاني منها كوريا الجنوبية قدرتها على الرد على التهديدات الخارجية بفعالية، والتصدي لـ"طاغية آسيا"، وتشهد البلاد توترات في ظل مقاومة رئيسها المعزول يون سوك يول الامتثال لمذكرة توقيف صدرت بحقه بعد إعلانه الأحكام العرفية في الثالث من ديسمبر/كانون الأول.
ولفت المقال كذلك إلى أن "عشوائية" السياسة الخارجية التي يتبعها الرئيس المنتخب دونالد ترامب أججت شكوك كوريا الجنوبية، نظرا لتصريحاته حول ضرورة الحد من التدخلات العسكرية الأميركية في الخارج، ووعوده بالمباشرة في ذلك حال بداية ولايته.
إعلانوأشار تيسدال إلى أن علاقات الزعيم الكوري كيم جونغ أون المتينة مع روسيا وإيران والصين منحت بلاده استقرارا اقتصاديا ومزايا عسكرية على مر السنين، رغم العقوبات الدولية المفروضة عليها.
وذكر الكاتب بالتحديد الغنائم التي حصدها كيم جونغ أون مقابل إمداد روسيا بالأسلحة والجنود أثناء الحرب الروسية الأوكرانية، وتضمنت أرباح كوريا الشمالية من هذه العلاقة المال والنفط والمساعدات الغذائية والأسلحة.
واختتم تيسدال مقاله بذكر المخاطر المتعلقة بالتسليح النووي، بما في ذلك زعزعة الاستقرار الإقليمي، وسباق التسلح المحتمل، والإضرار بالمعايير الدولية الرامية للحد من انتشار الأسلحة النووية، وخلص الكاتب إلى أن كوريا الجنوبية تواجه قرارا صعبا بين الاعتماد على حلفائها أو اتباع مسار مستقل لتحقيق أمنها.

وقال المتحدث باسم قوات العمليات الخاصة الكولونيل أولكسندر كيندراتنكو إنّه "خلال الأسابيع الثلاثة الماضية، لم نر أو نرصد أيّ نشاط أو مواجهات عسكرية مع الكوريين الشماليين.
