البنك السعودي الأول يدشن مركز الأمير فيصل بن مشعل لحفظ وإكثار النباتات المحلية بالتعاون مع جمعية وعي البيئية
افتتح البنك السعودي الأول مركز “الأمير فيصل بن مشعل لحفظ وإكثار النباتات المحلية” في منطقة القصيم بالتعاون مع جمعية وعي البيئية، وذلك ضمن إسهام البنك في مبادرة السعودية الخضراء. وقد رعى الافتتاح صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير الدكتور فيصل بن مشعل بن سعود بن عبدا لعزيز ال سعود، أمير منطقة القصيم، كما اطلع سموه على ما تم إنجازه في المشروع خلال زيارة قام بها ممثلون من البنك والجمعية لسموه حيث مثل البنك سعادة الأستاذ ياسر البراك الرئيس التنفيذي لمصرفية الشركات والمصرفية المؤسسية، ومثل الجمعية سعادة الدكتور عبد الرحمن الصقير رئيس مجلس إدارة الجمعية.

وأيضًا يولي المركز الجانب البحثي أهمية خاصة حيث سيتم من خلال هذا المشروع دعم الباحثين وطلاب الدراسات العليا في مجال مكافحة التصحر وحفظ النباتات المحلية، وستحاط مرافق المركز بغابة من الأشجار، حيث سيتم زراعة 10,000 شجرة من الأنواع المحلية في المساحة المخصصة للمشروع بما يسهم في تحقيق مستهدفات مبادرة السعودية الخضراء.
وبهذه المناسبة صرح ياسر البراك، الرئيس التنفيذي لمصرفية الشركات والمصرفية المؤسسية لدى الأول: “نشعر بالفخر لأننا جزء من هذا المشروع الوطني الرائد الذي يسهم في حفظ الأنواع النباتية المحلية وهذا يعكس التزام “الأول” بمسؤولياته الاجتماعية والبيئية، ويسعى البنك من خلال هذه الشراكة إلى دعم رؤية المملكة 2030 عبر المساهمة في تحسين البيئة ومكافحة التصحر. نحن على ثقة بأن هذا المركز سيصبح نموذجًا يحتذى في الحفاظ على التنوع البيولوجي في المملكة.”
من جهته علق الدكتور عبدا لرحمن الصقير، رئيس مجلس إدارة جمعية وعي البيئية: ” إن إطلاق هذا المركز خطوة كبيرة نحو تحقيق أهدافنا البيئية في المحافظة على الغطاء النباتي الطبيعي في المملكة وتعزيزه، ومن خلال العمل مع “الأول” نسعى إلى التعريف بالنباتات المحلية وأهميتها وإكثارها، وإتاحة الفرصة للباحثين وطلاب الدراسات العليا للاستفادة من مكونات هذا المشروع، كما أن دعم ورعاية أمير القصيم لهذا المشروع يؤكد أهميته وتميزه على المستوى الوطني.”
يتضمن المشروع إنتاج 200,000شتلة من النباتات المحلية سنويًا، إضافة إلى جمع وحفظ وتوفير بذور ذات حيوية عالية للنباتات المحلية خصوصا تلك المهددة بالانقراض بما يزيد نسبة إنبات البذور إلى %70 كما سيسهم المشروع في إكثار الأنواع النباتية المهددة بالإنقراض من خلال تقنية الإكثار النسيجي، بالإضافة إلى توفير الدعم العلمي والتدريبي عبر ورش العمل والأبحاث والبرامج التوعوية التي ستشمل أكثر من 10,000 مشارك سنويًا.
