بعد اتهامه بـالسخرية.. يونس محمود ينهي الجدل بشأن تصريحاته عن المنتخب السعودي

رد النائب الثاني لرئيس الاتحاد العراقي لكرة القدم، يونس محمود، اليوم الاثنين (23 كانون الأول 2024)، على اتهامه بـ"السخرية" من المنتخب السعودي في مشاركته ببطولة كأس الخليج المقامة في الكويت ومنافسته على اللقب.
وقال محمود في تصريح صحفي، تابعته "بغداد اليوم"،: "لا يوجد شيء اتأسف عليه ولم استهزأ بأي دولة او شعب، ولكن لا يوجد اي شخص يمنعني من الضحك او الابتسامة".
وأضاف "ما شاهدته في مواقع التواصل حول الموضوع المفتعل من قبل بعض الإعلام في السعودية لاقتطاع الفيديو وهذا شيء لا يذكر مقارنة ما اتعرض له في العراق".
وتابع محمود "لم اتجاوز على السعودية ولن اتجاوز، لأنه ليس من اخلاقي هذا الشيء، ولكن عندما تتصدى لمثل هذا العمل ستعايش مثل هذه الأمور".
وكان يونس محمود قد سُل عن رؤيته للمنافسة بين العراق والسعودية في المجموعة الثانية، باعتبارها من المرشحين للتتويج.
ورد أسطورة منتخب العراق، ضاحكا، في تصريحات تلفزيونية "السعودية جاية للقب؟!".
وتعرض المنتخب السعودي، لانتقادات واسعة بعد الخسارة من البحرين، خاصة في ظل تكرار الأخطاء الدفاعية، والتي تسببت في سهولة وصول لاعبي البحرين إلى مرمى الحارس نواف العقيدي.
وسبق أن حصد يونس محمود في مسيرته كلاعب، لقب كأس آسيا 2007، بعد التغلب على السعودية في المباراة النهائية.
واستهل المنتخب السعودي، مشواره أمس في خليجي 26، بالخسارة 2-3 من البحرين، فيما انتصر العراق 1-0 على اليمن .
ويقع الأخضر السعودي في مجموعة واحدة بكأس الخليج، رفقة البحرين والعراق واليمن.
