نجيب ساويرس: حسني مبارك رفض الهروب من مصر بعد تنحيه عن السلطة

دبي، الإمارات العربية المتحدة (CNN)-- قال رجل الأعمال المصري نجيب ساويرس إن الرئيس الأسبق حسني مبارك لم يهرب من بلاده، في معرض تعليقه على منشور كان يلمح إلى فرار الرئيس السوري المخلوع بشار الأسد إلى روسيا، قبيل سيطرة فصائل المعارضة على العاصمة دمشق.
وكتب ساويرس، في حسابه عبر موقع إكس (تويتر سابقًا)، الاثنين: "يحسب له شجاعته الله يرحمه فهو المحارب الذى لا يهرب".
حينها، قال ساويرس: "غير صحيح، عُرض عليه (مبارك) في البداية وبموافقة المجلس العسكري ورفض.. أعلم عن يقين".
ودفعت ثورة 25 يناير/كانون الثاني حسني مبارك للتنحي عن السلطة في 11 فبراير/شباط 2011، ثم غادر القاهرة إلى منتجع شرم الشيخ السياحي على البحر الأحمر.
وفي 2 مارس/آذار 2017، قضت محكمة النقض في مصر ببراءة مبارك من تهمة قتل المتظاهرين إبان الثورة، في حكم أثار ردود فعل متباينة، وبعد 3 سنوات، توفي الرئيس الأسبق عن عمر يناهز 91 عاما، وجرى تشييع جثمانه جنازة عسكرية تقدمها الرئيس عبدالفتاح السيسي.
