عاجل ولي العهد يفتتح قمة المياه الواحدة المنعقدة بالرياض

افتتح صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء - أيده الله، اليوم الثلاثاء في مدينة الرياض، قمة المياه الواحدة، والتي تعقد برئاسة مشتركة بين سموه، وفخامة الرئيس إيمانويل ماكرون، رئيس الجمهورية الفرنسية، وفخامة الرئيس قاسم جومارت توكاييف، رئيس جمهورية كازاخستان، ومعالي رئيس البنك الدولي السيد أجاي بانجا.

وقبل بدء القمة التقطت الصور التذكارية لسمو ولي العهد وأصحاب الفخامة والمعالي قادة ورؤساء الوفود المشاركة.

يطيب لنا أن نرحب بكم في المملكة العربية السعودية وأن ننقل لكم تحيات سيدي، خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبد العزيز آل سعود - حفظه الله -، وتمنياته نجاح أعمال قمة المياه الواحدة التي تعكس عزمنا وإصرارنا على مواصلة العمل المشترك لمواجهة التحديات البيئية المتعلقة بندرة المياه والجفاف.
أصحاب الفخامة والمعالي
تنطلق هذه القمة بالتزامن مع استضافة المملكة، (مؤتمر الأطراف السادس عشر لاتفاقية الأمم المتحدة لمكافحة التصحر)، الذي يهدف إلى الحد من تدهور الأراضي والجفاف، حيث تعد الأراضي الوعاء الرئيس للمياه العذبة.
ويواجه العالم اليوم تحديات متزايدة في قطاع المياه، ومن ذلك ارتفاع معدلات الجفاف، وهي تؤدي إلى أزمات متعددة، تتمثل في نقص المياه الصالحة للاستخدام، وتفاقم مشكلات التصحر وما يتبع ذلك من تهديد حياة الإنسان والمجتمعات، مما يستوجب العمل المشترك، لوضع خطط لضمان استدامة مصادر المياه.
ومن هذا المنطلق عملت المملكة على إدراج موضوعات المياه للمرة الأولى، ضمن خارطة عمل مجموعة العشرين خلال مدة رئاستها في عام 2020م، بالإضافة إلى تقديمها تمويلات تجاوزت مبلغ ستة مليارات دولار أمريكي؛ لدعم أكثر من (200) مشروع إنمائي في قطاع المياه، في أكثر من (60) دولة نامية حول العالم، وتستعد المملكة لاستضافة المنتدى العالمي للمياه، في الدورة (الحادية عشرة) عام 2027م، بالتعاون مع المجلس العالمي للمياه.
كما أعلنت المملكة تأسيس منظمة عالمية للمياه مقرها الرياض، تهدف إلى تطوير وتكامل جهود الدول والمنظمات، لمعالجة تحديات المياه بشكل شمولي، وستعمل هذه المنظمة على معالجة القضايا المتعلقة بالمياه على مستوى العالم، من خلال توحيد الجهود الدولية، وإيجاد الحلول الشاملة للتحديات المائية، بما في ذلك تبادل الخبرات والتقنيات المبتكرة، وتعزيز البحث والتطوير في هذا المجال.
وفي هذا الصدد فإن المملكة تدعو الدول الأعضاء في الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الدولية والقطاع الخاص إلى الانضمام إلى هذه المنظمة.
وفي الختام نأمل أن تسهم جهود المجتمع الدولي لمعالجة تحديات المياه، في تحقيق الأهداف التي نصبو إليها جميعاً في هذا المجال.
