الخبر، المملكة العربية السعودية، 27 نوفمبر 2024: أجرى مستشفى المانع في الخبر، أحد أبرز مقدّمي الرعاية الصحّية في المنطقة الشرقية من المملكة العربية السعودية، عملية جراحية ناجحة لحالة معقّدة في العظام، وذلك عبر تركيب جهاز "إليزاروف" الموجّه بالكمبيوتر لعلاج مريض كان يعاني من تشوّه طويل الأمد في الساق. ويشكّل إتمام هذه العملية المتقدّمة بنجاح إنجازاً بارزاً في مجال تطويل الأطراف والتشوهات وجراحة العظام في المملكة وشهادة على تفاني وخبرة مستشفيات المانع في علاج الحالات العظمية الخطيرة والمعقّدة ووفقاً لأعلى المعايير الطبية والدولية.
والمريض البالغ من العمر 44 عاماً والذي كان يعاني من تشوّه طويل الأمد وألم مزمن في ساقه اليسرى وكاحله، خضع لعمليات سابقة في إحدى المستشفيات في المنطقة من أجل تثبيت العظم باستخدام الطرق التقليدية التي تعتمد على الصفائح والمسامير، ولم يكتب لها النجاح. فقد فشلت هذه المحاولات في تحسين حالته، ما جعله غير قادر على الوقوف أو المشي بشكل سليم وأثر بشدّة على حياته اليومية.
وبعد استشارة الدكتور مهند عليان، استشاري جراحة العظام في مستشفى المانع والخبير في إطالة الأطراف وتصحيح التشوهات، تمّت التوصية باعتماد طريقة إليزاروف الموجّهة بالكمبيوتر كحل جراحي مثالي لحالة المريض. واختار الفريق الجراحي في مستشفى المانع في الخبر بقيادة الدكتور عليان هذا النهج نظراً لقدرته على منع المزيد من الضرر للأنسجة المتضرّرة من الجراحة الأوّلية الفاشلة مع تقليل خطر العدوى. كما أنّ استخدام هيكل تثبيت سداسي القوائم يجري التحكّم به عبر الكمبيوتر يسمح بتقليل التشوّهات وتصحيحها بدقّة عالية. إضافةً إلى ذلك، تتيح هذه الطريقة التحريك المبكر للساق، ما يقلّل بشكل كبير خطر المضاعفات المرتبطة بعدم الحركة لفترة طويلة، مثل تجلّط الأوردة العميقة ومشاكل الجهاز التنفسي.
