عاجل خادم الحرمين الشريفين يفتتح مشروع قطار الرياض

افتتح خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ـ أيده الله ـ اليوم الأربعاء 25 جمادى الأولى 1446هـ، الموافق 27 نوفمبر 2024م، مشروع قطار الرياض، الذي يُعد العمود الفقري لـ "شبكة النقل العام بمدينة الرياض" وأحد عناصر منظومة النقل في المدينة.
وشاهد، أيده الله، فيلمًا تعريفيًا عن المشروع الذي يمثّل أحد المشروعات الكبرى التي تشهدها المملكة خلال هذا العهد الزاهر، ويتميز بمواصفاته التصميمية والتقنية العالية، ويتكون من شبكة تشمل 6 مسارات للقطار بطول 176 كيلو مترًا، و85 محطة، من بينها 4 محطات رئيسة.

وقال سمو ولي العهد ـ حفظه الله ـ : إن "مشروع النقل العام بمدينة الرياض بشقيه القطار والحافلات"، يُعد ثمرة من ثمار غرس خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود ـ رعاه الله ـ وانطلاقًا من رؤيته الثاقبة ـ أيده الله ـ عندما كان رئيسًا للهيئة العليا لتطوير مدينة الرياض.
وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن "مشروع النقل العام بمدينة الرياض" قد انطلق من الدراسات المختلفة التي أعدتها ( الهيئة العليا لتطوير مدينة الرياض - الهيئة الملكية لمدينة الرياض حاليًا ) حول الوضع الراهن للمدينة واحتياجاتها الحالية والمستقبلية من قطاع النقل العام، وتحديد أفضل الحلول والخيارات لتأسيس نظام نقل عام مستديم يتلاءم مع واقع المدينة وخصائصها العمرانية والسكانية والمرورية.
وقد خلصت هذه الدراسات إلى وضع (الخطة الشاملة للنقل العام في مدينة الرياض)، التي اشتملت على تأسيس شبكة للنقل بالقطارات وشبكة موازية للنقل بالحافلات، تعمل على احتواء متطلبات التنقل القائمة والمتوقعة في المدينة، وتوجت هذه الخطة بصدور قرار مجلس الوزراء القاضي "بالموافقة على تنفيذ (مشروع النقل العام في مدينة الرياض - القطار والحافلات)" .
وإطلاق الهيئة عملية كبرى لتأهيل الائتلافات العالمية للمنافسة على تنفيذ المشروع، وصدور الموافقة السامية الكريمة على ترسية عقود تنفيذ مشروع "قطار الرياض" على (ثلاثة ائتلافات) تضم أكثر من 19 شركة عالمية كبرى تنتمي لـ 13 دولة.
