الصحة العالمية تدلي ببيان بشأن جدري القردة

قالت منظمة الصحة العالمية، اليوم الجمعة، إن تفشي جدري القردة لا يزال يمثل حالة طوارئ صحية عامة.
وعقدت لجنة تابعة للمنظمة اجتماعا طارئا، في جنيف اليوم، لتقرير ما إذا كان فيروس جدري القردة "إمبوكس" لا يزال يمثل أزمة صحية عالمية.
وتجتمع اللجنة، التي تضم نحو 12 خبيرا مستقلا، كل ثلاثة أشهر بعد أن أعلنت منظمة الصحة العالمية في أغسطس الماضي، حالة طوارئ صحية بسبب انتشار فيروس إمبوكس في القارة الأفريقية.
وتبحث اللجنة حاليا كيفية مواجهة سلالة جديدة من الفيروس، تسمى "كليد 1 بي"، والتي قد تكون أكثر خطورة ومعدية بشكل أكبر.
وقالت منظمة الصحة العالمية، إنه تم رصد أكثر من 50 ألف حالة مشتبه بها من إمبوكس في البلدان الأفريقية هذا العام، مع أكثر من 1800 حالة وفاة. أخبار ذات صلة

وفي هذا الصدد، قال الأستاذ مانع المانع، الرئيس التنفيذي لمستشفيات المانع، إن هذه المبادرة تأتي ضمن التزام المجموعة العميق بتعزيز الوعي الصحي بين أفراد المجتمع خلال شهر رمضان المبارك، الذي يُعدُّ فرصة مثالية لتسليط الضوء على قضايا صحية مهمة.
وأضاف المانع إن الهدف من خلال هذه الحملات هو تسليط الضوء على آخر المستجدَّات في مجالات الرعاية الصحية المختلفة، وتمكين المرضى والزوار من اتخاذ قراراتٍ صحيةٍ مدروسةٍ تؤثر بشكلٍ إيجابيٍّ على صحتهم وحياتهم اليومية، مؤكدًا أن مستشفيات المانع ستواصل تعزيز برامجها التثقيفية والوقائية في المستقبل؛ لتحسين مستوى الوعي الصحي في المجتمع، ودعم جهود مكافحة الأمراض.
وشملت الحملة فروع المستشفى بمختلف المناطق، ففي مستشفى المانع - فرع الخُبَر، تمَّ تقديم استشاراتٍ طبيةٍ حول التغذية والسكري وصحة المرأة، مع استقبال أكثر من 150 مريضًا، كما تمَّ تنظيم محاضراتٍ توعويةٍ في عيادات المانع - الراكة حول السكري، السمنة، الكلى، والصحة النفسية.
وفي مستشفى المانع - العزيزية بالدمام، تمَّ التركيز على مواضيع النساء والولادة، العلاج الطبيعي، مختبر النوم، وطب الأسنان، أما في مستشفى المانع - الجبيل، فقد شملت الحملة محاضراتٍ توعويةً عن السمنة، السكري، وأمراض الكلى، وفي مستشفى المانع - الأحساء، تمَّ تقديم محاضراتٍ حول السكري، السمنة، والتغذية، بالإضافة إلى تنظيم حملة تبرع بالدم، التي شهدت مشاركةً كبيرةً من المتبرعين، كذلك في مستشفى المانع بالدمام تضمَّنت الحملة محاضراتٍ توعويةً عن السمنة، السكري، والعلاج الطبيعي.
جديرٌ بالذِّكر أن مستشفيات المانع تأسَّست في عام 1949، وهي أول مستشفى عام في القطاع الخاص بالمنطقة الشرقية، وأحد أقدم وأكبر الشركات الطبية في منطقة الخليج؛ حيث يقدِّم المستشفى رعايةً طبيةً مبتكرةً ومتطوِّرة، مع الالتزام بتوظيف أفضل المتخصِّصين واستخدام أحدث المعدات الطبية، كما حصل المستشفى على اعتماداتٍ دوليةٍ مثل "جي سي آي"؛ مما يجعلها الخيار الأول في الرعاية الصحية المتخصِّصة.
