تمت مباشرة ودراسة الحالة من قبل الفريق الطبي بإشراف الدكتور وليد خلف استشاري أمراض النساء والولادة بمستشفى المواساة بالقطيف حيث تم عمل سونار على البطن والحوض، متبوعا" بأشعة الرنين المغناطيسي لتوضيح الحالة، حيث تم بعد ذلك تشخيص وجود كيس ضخم على المبيض الأيمن بحجم 15 سم، كما تم إجراء دلالات أورام للتأكد من طبيعة الورم.

وبفضل الله تمت عملية استئصال كامل للكيس بنجاح بواسطة منظار البطن الجراحي دون الحاجة لفتح البطن بالرغم من حجم الورم الكبير، وتم الحفاظ على المبيض، ولم تحتاج المريضة لنقل أية كمية من الدم وخرجت بعد يومين ولله الحمد وهي تتمتع بكامل الصحة والعافية.

وتم بعد ذلك متابعة تحليل الأنسجة وتم التأكد من أن الورم كان حميدا" ولله الحمد.
