أجرى صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز آل سعود، ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء ـ حفظه الله ـ، اتصالاً هاتفياً، بفخامة الرئيس فلاديمير بوتين رئيس روسيا الاتحادية.
وتم خلال الاتصال الإشادة بالعلاقات المتميزة بين المملكة وروسيا وبالجهود المبذولة لرفع مستوى العلاقات بين البلدين، كما تم بحث سبل تطوير التعاون الثنائي في مختلف المجالات.
كما جرى بحث عدد من القضايا والموضوعات ذات الاهتمام المشترك، بما فيها مناقشة تطورات الأزمة الأوكرانية الروسية والجهود المبذولة بشأنها.
