أستاذ علم فيروسات: انتشار مرض السل في الآونة الأخيرة مرتبط بجائحة كورونا

قال الدكتور محمود حلبلب، أستاذ علم الفيروسات، إن مرض السل موجود منذ ما يقرب من 20 إلى 30 عاما، علاوة على ذلك فإن عودة انتشاره طبيعية لاسيما مع انتشار الميكروبات، إذ أن الفيروسات لها القدرة على التمحور داخل البيئة والعودة من جديد.
انتشار مرض السل في الآونة الأخيرة مرتبط بجائحة كوروناوأضاف «حلبلب» خلال مداخلة هاتفية ببرنامج «صباح جديد» المذاع عبر قناة «القاهرة الإخبارية» تقديم الإعلاميين آية الكفوري وحبية عمر، أن مرض السُل عاد ليظهر من جديد بالرغم من وجود اللقاح ووجود علاج له، مشيرًا إلى أن ارتفاع أعداد الإصابة بمرض السل في الآونة الأخيرة ترتبط ارتباطا وثيقا بجائحة كورونا لاسيما وعند الإقفال وانشغال جميع الأجهزة الطبية بالتعامل مع كوفيد 19.
وتابع أن بكتيريا وفيروس مرض السل أصبحت لها القدرة على الانتشار اليوم، إلى جانب أنه من بين المليون و250 ألف حالة من الذين توفوا، أصيب نصفهم من الذين لديهم مناعة للمضادات الحيوية، ومن الممكن أن يصبح مرض السل مزمنا، وقد يأخذ عدة أشهر أو سنين للتعافي منه.
