عرضت قناة "القاهرة الإخبارية" تقريرا بعنوان "المزارعون الفلسطينيون يواجهون أخطر موسم زيتون على الإطلاق".
وقال التقرير: "شجرة الزيتون رمز فلسطيني تروي أوراقها حكاية سنوات من النضال بحثا عن الحرية وجذورها شاهدة على صاحب الأرض وتمسكه بها عبر أجيال حملت القضية وضحت من أجلها بالغالي والنفيس".
وأضاف: "المزارع الفلسطيني عوض أبو سمرة يقف هنا يعبر عن شوقه لأرضه التي حرم من عناق غراسها ومن زيتونته التي كان دوما على الموعد في كل عام ليجنيها حتى أتت يد المحتل الغاشم فحرمته منها، وسلبت منه الحياة أرضه وما عليها من أشجار الزيتون".
وتابع: "على الجانب الآخر يستعد الحاج طلال جبارة ليوم طويل في أرضه يجني هو وعائلته ثمار الزيتون موعدا ينتظره الجميع بفرح من عام إلى عام وكأنه يحتفلون بزفاف الأرض، فالزيتون ليس مجرد شجرة بل حياة كاملة يعيشها الفلسطينيون".
