مصر ونيجيريا توقعان مذكرة تفاهم للتعاون في إدارة الموارد المائية

وقع الدكتور هاني سويلم وزير الموارد المائية والرى، والمهندس جوزيف أوتسيف وزير الموارد المائية والصرف الصحي بجمهورية نيجيريا الإتحادية بتوقيع مذكرة تفاهم للتعاون في مجال إدارة الموارد المائية، وذلك ضمن فعاليات إسبوع القاهرة السابع للمياه، واسبوع المياه الإفريقي التاسع.
وأشار الدكتور سويلم، خلال اللقا،، إلى أن هذه المذكرة تهدف إلى توطيد العلاقات المتميزة القائمة بين البلدين، وتعزيز التعاون المشترك فى مجال إدارة الموارد المائية.
وأكد الوزير حرص مصر على تعزيز التعاون مع كافة الدول الأفريقية الشقيقة لخدمة قضايا المياه والمناخ، خاصة خلال فترة رئاسة مصر الحالية لمجلس وزراء المياه الأفارقة (الأمكاو)، مؤكدا على أهمية التعاون وتبادل الخبرات والتجارب الناجحة فى التعامل مع تحديات المياه والمناخ التى تواجه العديد من دول القارة الإفريقية.
وتتضمن مذكرة التفاهم التعاون بين البلدين فى مجالات ( تطوير الري - تشغيل وصيانة المنشآت المائية - مكافحة الحشائش المائية فى المجارى المائية بإستخدام الطرق الميكانيكية والبيولوجية - تقنيات الري الحديث - التنبؤ بالفيضان والجفاف - إدارة مخاطر الفيضان - تكنولوجيا حصاد الامطار - إدارة المياه الجوفية - حوكمة الموارد المائية - التكيف مع تغير المناخ فى قطاع المياه - مراقبة نوعية المياه )، وتعزيز التعاون فى مجال البحث العلمى.
