نجح مستشفى الدكتور سليمان الحبيب بالخبر، في إنقاذ مراجعة تبلغ من العمر 72 عاماً، من مضاعفات حادة لورم سرطاني كبير منتشر في بطانة الرحم، كان قد تسبب لها بآلام حادة ونزيف ، الأمر الذي أعاقها على أداء مهامها اليومية، مع إزدياد حدة الألم بمرور الوقت، هذا ما أوضحته الدكتور سارة الربيش استشارية النساء والولادة وجراحة الأورام، رئيسة الفريق الطبي المعالج.

والتي قالت عند حضور المراجعة للعيادة تم الإستماع إلى شكواها والإطلاع على ملفها الطبي، وقد إتضح أنها تعاني منذ خمسة أشهر من نزيف شديد ما بعد الطمث وآلام حادة، وضُعف شديد في عضلة القلب، على الفور تم إخضاعها لفحوصات بأشعة الرنين المغناطيسي (M.R.I) والتصوير الطبقي (C.T Scan) وكذلك الأشعة الصوتية، وعدداً من التحاليل المخبرية، وقد كشفت النتائج عن وجود "ورم سرطاني" كبير ونشط بطول (15×10× 12) سم، منتشر في بطانة الرحم، كما تبين أيضاً أنها تعاني من مشاكل صحية متعلقة بنسب ضخ الدم في عضلة القلب، والتي لا تزيد عن 20 %.
