أمريكا تُعلن "حالة الكارثة" في هاواي بعد حرائق هائلة

أعلن الرئيس الأمريكي، "جو بايدن"، حالة الكارثة في ولاية هاواي، وفتح التمويل الفيدرالي بعد حرائق هائلة، حسبما أفادت وسائل إعلام محلية، مساء اليوم الخميس.
وبحسب بيان صحفي صدر عن بايدن، فإن "الأموال ستستخدم في توفير الإسكان المؤقت ومنح القروض لتغطية خسائر الممتلكات غير المؤمن عليها".
وأوضح الرئيس الأمريكي، أن "الأموال متاحة لإزالة الأنقاض وتدابير الحماية الطارئة".
وأضاف بايدن: "تقييمات الأضرار مستمرة، وقد يتم تحديد أشكال إضافية من المساعدة بعد الانتهاء من التقييمات بالكامل".
وأمس، قال مسؤولو ولاية هاواي الأمريكية، إن أفراد الحرس الوطني في هاواي ينتشرون في جزيرة ماوي، حيث خرجت حرائق الغابات عن السيطرة في الجزيرة.
وكتب الميجور جنرال كينيث هارا، على "فيسبوك": "تم نشر قوات الحرس الوطني في هاواي وهم حاليًا في جزيرة ماوي يساعدون قسم شرطة ماوي في نقاط مراقبة حركة المرور".
وقال هارا إن الانتشار الليلي تسارع بسبب ظروف الحريق الديناميكية، ومن المتوقع وصول أفراد إضافيين من الحرس الوطني إلى مقاطعتي ماوي وهاواي في وقت لاحق من يوم الأربعاء.
بدورها، قالت حاكمة ولاية هاواي الأمريكية، سيلفيا لوك، إن المستشفيات في جزيرة ماوي تعج بمرضى الحروق والأشخاص الذين يعانون من استنشاق الدخان، مضيفة أن رعاية المصابين في حرائق الغابات تعيقها صعوبة نقل المرضى إلى مرافق أخرى.
وحسب شبكة "سي إن إن" الأمريكية، قالت لوك: نحن بالفعل على اتصال مع أنظمة المستشفيات الأخرى بشأن تخفيف العبء، والحقيقة هي أننا نحتاج إلى إخراج الأشخاص من ماوي لمنحهم دعمًا للحروق لأن مستشفى ماوي لا يمكنه إجراء علاج مكثف للحروق، بالإضافة إلى التعامل مع الكوارث، نحن نتعامل أيضًا مع مشكلات النقل الرئيسية.
وأضافت لوك أن السلطات تكافح أيضًا من أجل التواصل مع المناطق التي عزلتها حرائق الغابات وتنسيق عمليات الإجلاء.
