وأشار سمو أمير المنطقة الشرقية إلى أن المملكة احتلت مكانة متقدمة بين دول العالم الأكثر اهتماماً ورعاية لمرضى التوحّد، وأولتهم عناية خاصة ، كما تضافرت جهود كافة الجهات المعنية بالدولة مع جهود المؤسسات الاجتماعية وأفراد المجتمع من أجل خدمة هذه الفئة العزيزة.
وأوضح رئيس مجلس إدارة شركة "شمعة التوحد" المهندس عبدالعزيز بن عبدالله العبدالكريم في كلمته خلال حفل افتتاح المؤتمر بأن انعقاد المؤتمر بحضور وتشريف سمو أمير المنطقة الشرقية يعد استكمالا لمسيرة النجاح لاسيما وأن دعم وتوجيهات سمو أمير المنطقة كانت دافعاً لتحقيق الرؤى إلى واقع ملموس ، مشيرا إلى انطلاق المؤتمر في نسخته الثانية يتواكب مع أهدافنا الاستراتيجية للوصول إلى مجتمع حيوي يؤدي كل فرد فيه دور في دعم التنمية .
وأضاف المهندس العبدالكريم بأن مسيرة نمو "شمعة التوحد" ارتكزت على 4 ركائز استراتيجية تمثلت في نشر خدمات ذات جودة عالية ، حيث انطلقت من مركز واحد في الدمام وصولاً إلى 10 أفرع ومراكز تشغيل تعاوني على مستوى المملكة ، كما تضاعف عدد المستفيدين من 100 مستفيد إلى 1000 مستفيد خلال العام الحالي ، لافتا بأن الركيزة الثانية تمثلت في بناء الكفاءات الوطنية عبر إطلاق مبادرة توظيف 1000 توحدي من خلال المجلس الاستشاري لخدمات التوحد بالتعاون مع صندوق هدف لتنمية الموارد البشرية ، بالإضافة إلى ركيزة الشراكات التعاونية والتكامل المؤسسي والتي تم من خلالها تأسيس جمعية نمو للتوحد التي تركز على أهمية الكشف المبكر لضمان حصول الطفل وذويه على أفضل فرص رعاية وتمكين، مبينا بأن الركيزة الرابعة تهدف إلى الدمج الفعال والتمكين المجتمعي ، حيث بلغت نسبة الدمج أكثر من 40٪ من كامل المستفيدين ، كما تم إلحاق 70 طالبا في التعليم العام ونجاح قسم التأهيل المهني في توظيف أكثر من 20 مستفيدا . مشيراً إلى أن هذا المؤتمر يمثل التزاماً للوصول إلى تحقيق ريادة قطاع التوحد على مستوى العالم.
ومن جانبه أكد الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة" شمعة التوحد" الدكتور سعد بن عائض الشهراني بأن المؤتمر والمعرض في نسخته الثانية يمثلان منصة عالمية تجمع الخبراء والممارسين والمهتمين بمجال التوحد، ويأتيان استكمالًا لمسيرة النجاح التي حققتها النسخة الأولى، مشيرًا إلى أن رعاية وتشريف سمو أمير المنطقة الشرقية تشكل حافزًا كبيرًا لمواصلة التميز وتحقيق أهداف التمكين وجودة الحياة.
وشهد سمو أمير المنطقة الشرقية توقيع مذكرة تعاون استراتيجية بين المجلس الاستشاري لخدمات التوحد وصندوق تنمية الموارد البشرية (هدف)، وذلك لتدشين مبادرة وطنية رائدة بعنوان "توظيف ألف توحدي" وتهدف المبادرة إلى تمكين 1000 فرد من ذوي اضطراب طيف التوحد من الحصول على فرص عمل مستدامة ونوعية ضمن خطة عمل مرحلية .
