هيئة التراث تطلق مشروع اليمامة الأثري في مدينة الرياض ومحيطها القريب

أطلقت هيئة التراث مشروع اليمامة الأثري من خلال العمل على المسح والاستكشاف والتنقيب داخل مدينة الرياض ومحيطها القريب، في إطار جهودها لاستكشاف العمق التاريخي والحضاري لمدينة الرياض، والعناية بمواقع التراث الثقافي في المملكة.
وتعمل الهيئة على تنفيذ مشاريع المسح والتنقيب الأثري لمدينة الرياض خلال المدة من عام 2024 حتى عام 2028؛ ويشمل استكمال مشروع المسح الشامل داخل نطاق مدينة الرياض، وعلى طول امتداد وادي حنيفة، والمراكز المحيطة بمدينة الرياض، بالإضافة إلى 3 مشاريع أخرى للتنقيب الأثري في مواقع ضرماء، والحني، والمصانع؛ بالتعاون مع شركاء الهيئة.
وتعتمد إستراتيجية الهيئة في تنفيذ مشاريع المسح والتنقيب على مشاركة خبراء في مجال تاريخ وآثار مدينة الرياض، والتخصصات ذات العلاقة، إضافةً إلى مشاركة بعض الأكاديميين والطلاب من الجامعات السعودية، ومن المراكز والجامعات الدولية.
ويهدف المشروع إلى التعرف على أبرز مظاهر تطور وتوسع مدينة الرياض، بالإضافة إلى الكشف عن ملامح المواقع الأثرية والتاريخية وتوثيقها والحفاظ عليها، وذلك ضمن مسؤولية الهيئة تجاه التراث الثقافي وحمايته والعناية به، وإبراز العمق الحضاري للمملكة على مر التاريخ.
يذكر أن هيئة التراث توظف أحدث التقنيات المستخدمة في عمليات المسح الشامل، من خلال نظم المعلومات الجغرافية، والمسح الجيوراداري الأرضي، والنمذجة ثلاثية الأبعاد والمسح المغناطيسي، إضافة إلى تقنيات التصوير الجوي المنخفض، واستخدام الذكاء الاصطناعي في رسم الخرائط الجغرافية والطبوغرافية.
