حزب الخضر الأمريكي يرشح ناشطة مناهضة للحرب لخوض انتخابات الرئاسة

الولايات المتحدة – رشح حزب الخضر الأمريكي الطبيبة جيل ستاين المعروفة بدعواتها لوقف تسليح أوكرانيا وإسرائيل لخوض انتخابات الرئاسة الأمريكية.
كما تمت خلال المؤتمر الوطني للحزب الموافقة على المسلم الأسود بوتش واير وهو الأستاذ المشارك في العلوم التاريخية من جامعة كاليفورنيا في سانتا باربرا كمرشح له لمنصب نائب الرئيس في الانتخابات المقبلة.
وترشحت جيل ستاين (73 عاما) – وهي من شيكاغو وخريجة جامعة هارفارد – لأعلى منصب في البلاد عن حزب الخضر في عامي 2012 و2016، وقبل ذلك حاولت مرتين أن تصبح حاكمة لولاية ماساتشوستس.
وتقترح ستاين في إطار حملتها الانتخابية إغلاق معظم القواعد العسكرية الأمريكية في الخارج ووقف مبيعات الأسلحة ورفع العقوبات الاقتصادية التي تضر بالمدنيين، بما في ذلك في كوبا وفنزويلا ونيكاراغوا، وسحب القوات الأمريكية من العراق وسوريا.
ستجرى الانتخابات الرئاسية في الولايات المتحدة في 5 نوفمبر القادم. ورشح الحزب الجمهوري الرئيس السابق دونالد ترامب رسميا لمنصب رئيس الدولة، في حين شرح الحزب الديمقراطي نائبة الرئيس الحالية كامالا هاريس.
