دشن صاحب السمو الملكي الأمير محمد بن عبدالرحمن بن عبدالعزيز نائب أمير منطقة الرياض رئيس اللجنة العليا للسلامة المرورية بالمنطقة، في قصر الحكم اليوم الأربعاء، مركز رصد الحوادث المرورية بمدينة الرياض.
ونوه سموه خلال الاجتماع بدعم واهتمام القيادة الرشيدة بكل ما من شأنه الحفاظ على الأمن والسلامة في منطقة الرياض، وبدور أمانة المنطقة وجهود القائمين على المركز.
وأشار إلى أن الرياض مقبلة على مستقبل مشرق يتطلب السعي إلى الحد من المؤثرات السلبية كالحوادث المرورية.

عقب ذلك أشار صاحب السمو الأمير فيصل بن عبدالعزيز بن عياف أمين المنطقة، إلى أن اللجنة القائمة على المركز حرصت على أن تكون مخرجاتها واضحة ومستدامة على الميدان بالمعايير والأرقام، وأن يكون العمل مؤسسيًا ليستمر سنوات طويلة.

ويتضمن المركز مواقع استراتيجية على مستوى مدينة الرياض، إذ يعالج تحسين مستوى السلامة لمواقع رئيسة ضمن حدود المدينة، وتجري خلالها الزيارات الميدانية للتعرف على المشكلات المسببة للنقاط السوداء على التقاطعات ووصلات الطرق ضمن مدينة الرياض، والخروج بالتوصيات اللازمة لمعالجة هذه المواقع ضمن تقارير السلامة المرورية والتصاميم الهندسية.
حضر الاجتماع وكيل الإمارة المساعد للشؤون التنموية المكلف أمين اللجنة العليا للسلامة المرورية م. سلمان الضلعان، ومساعد الرئيس التنفيذي للهيئة الملكية لمدينة الرياض م. فهد بن عبدالرحمن بن صالح، ونائب رئيس جامعة الملك سعود للمشاريع د. عبدالله الصقير.
ونائب رئيس هيئة الهلال الأحمر السعودي مدير فرع هيئة الهلال الأحمر بالمنطقة د. فهد الحجاج، ومساعد مرور المنطقة العميد عبدالله الدرعان، ومدير عام فرع وزارة الصحة بالمنطقة د. حسن الشهراني، وقائد القوة الخاصة لأمن الطرق بالمنطقة العميد فهد الحقباني.
