أكد رئيس الاتحاد السعودي لكرة القدم، ياسر المسحل، اليوم /الأربعاء/ أن كأس العالم 2034 سيكون فرصة ذهبية لإبراز قوة المملكة وتفاني شعبها وانسجامه مع قيادتها وتلاحمهم فى إظهار صورة رائعة ومميزة تبرز حب وشغف الشعب السعودي لكرة القدم.
وقال المسحل - في تصريحات خاصة لقناة الإخبارية السعودية - "نمر بلحظات تاريخية لنا كسعوديين ونشعر بفخر واعتزاز ودعم سخي وكبير من القيادة السعودية الرشيدة كما نحظى بدعم وتمكين من ولي العهد السعودي الأمير محمد بن سلمان، ومتابعة حثيثة من وزير الرياضة السعودي، لتقديم نسخة غير مسبوقة خلال استضافة المملكة لكأس العالم 2034".
وأضاف أن ملف ترشح السعودية لاستضافة كأس العالم 2034، يعكس التعاون الكبير بين كافة الجهات الحكومية والشبه حكومية التى وضعت جهودها لتمكين القطاع الرياضي لتقديم هذا الملف المميز وثقتنا بالمواطنين السعوديين فى تقديم نسخة مميزة ستبهر العالم.
وأشار إلى أن 60% من الشعب السعودي عمره أقل من 30 عاما ولدينا طلب كبير على ممارسة كرة القدم، لافتا إلى أن السعودية نظمت كأس العالم للشباب قبل 35 عاما وشاركت فى أول نسخة بكأس العالم قبل 30 عاما، الأمر الذى دعم ممكنات حلم استضافة كأس العالم وإبهار العالم خاصة من محبين كرة القدم.
من جانبه، أكد رئيس الاتحاد الآسيوي لكرة القدم، الشيخ سلمان آل خليفة، أن تقديم المملكة لملف استضافة مونديال كأس العالم 2034 يشكل علامة مضيئة في تاريخ اللعبة في القارة الآسيوية وخطوة مهمة على طريق استضافة الحدث العالمي وينسجم مع التطور التاريخي للرياضة السعودية، التي أصبحت موضع ثقة العالم الكروي.
وقال إن القارة الآسيوية وضعت ثقتها الكاملة بملف المملكة منذ إعلان نيتها التقدم لاستضافة المونديال 2034 نظير الإمكانات الكبيرة والخطط المستقبلية والتطور الهائل الذي يتماشى مع مخرجات "رؤية السعودية 2030".
