كشفت أمانة المنطقة الشرقية، عن بدء العمل بتطوير منطقة حضرية على مساحة تزيد عن 14,500م2 بحي البحر جوار دوار الخضري بمحافظة الخبر، وذلك ضمن مساعيها لاستغلال الفراغات العمرانية وتطويرها بما يخدم الحفاظ على المظهر الحضاري العام والبنية التحتية العصرية التي تتمتع بها الخبر، وذلك استمرارًا للجهود المبذولة لتطوير كافة المواقع واستغلالها بما يخدم المظهر العام ويعكس لمسة جمالية تعزز المظهر العام.
وأوضح رئيس بلدية محافظة الخبر المهندس مشعل الوهبي، بأن مساحة منطقة التطوير تزيد عن 14,500م2، وتم تصميمه بطابع مميز ويضم مسطحات خضراء تزيد عن 8,400م2، ونباتات تتناسب مع البيئة المحلية، ومغطيات تربة وأسيجة نباتية، وأكثر من 55 شجرة، إضافة إلى عناصر الإنارة التي تعكس جمال الموقع في المساء.
