نجح مستشفى الدكتور سليمان الحبيب بالخبر، في علاج "ثلاثيني" عانى منذ ولادته من عيب خلقي بالقدم "حنف القدم"، مع قصر بمقدار "5" سم بالساق اليسرى، وتم علاج الحالة عبر جهاز TSF + mitter frame، الذي يتوفر بالمستشفى، ذكر ذلك د.عبدالرحمن الرفاعي استشاري جراحة العظام، المتخصص في جراحة العظام والتشوهات والحوادث، وجراحات مفصل الورك المتقدمة، رئيس الفريق الطبي المعالج.

والذي قال أن هذا المراجع كان قد خضع وهو بعمر السنة، لثلاث عمليات لتصحيح تشوه وقصر الساق، إلا أنها لم تكتب لها النجاح، وطوال السنوات الماضية ظل يعاني من أعراض التشوه، التي زادت حدتها مع تقدم العمر، وتمثلت في آلام بالقدم ومفصل الركبة، ومؤخراً عانى من ميلان الظهر والورك، فضلاً عن صعوبة في المشي، ومعاناة في لبس الأحذية.

وأكد أن الخطة العلاجية التي استمرت لـ"42" يوماً، حققت نجاحاً كبيراً ولله الحمد، حيث تم تعديل تشوه القدم والكاحل بالكامل، وتعديل دوران الساق مع تطويله "5" سم وتخلص المريض من آلام القدم والساق ومفصل الركبة، وتحسنت قدرته على المشي ، كما أن تخلصه من قصر الساق أعاد التوازن للظهر ومفصل الورك.
وأوضح د. الرفاعي أن حنف القدم خلل خلقي يؤدي لتشوه القدم والكاحل، بحيث يكون الجزء العلوي من القدم ملتوياً إلى أسفل والداخل، ويدور الكعب إلى الداخل، فتبدو في الواقع كما لو كانت مقلوبة رأساً على عقب، وتكون الساق والقدم المصابة أقصر.
