وصل وزيرا الداخلية الإيراني أحمد وحيدي والكويتي فهد يوسف، يوم الإثنين، الى العاصمة العراقية بغداد.
وقال مصدر أمني ، إن “الوزيرين وصلا بغداد للمشاركة في مؤتمر بغداد الإقليمي الدولي الثاني لمكافحة المخدرات”.
ويشارك في المؤتمر، وزراء داخلية من دول الجوار وغير الجوار، بحسب المتحدث باسم وزارة الداخلية العراقية العميد مقداد ميري.
وقال ميري في وقت سابق، إن الوزارة تمكنت خلال الأشهر الستة الماضية، من ضبط مواد مخدرة بكمية إجمالية بلغت طنًا و822 كيلوغرامًا، وتضمنت هذه المواد (الكريستال، الترامول، الحشيش، الأفيون، الهيروين، والكوكايين)، مما أظهر انخفاضًا بنسبة 4% في جرائم المخدرات مقارنة بالأشهر الستة الأولى من السنة الماضية، كما تم القبض على 7,705 متهمين في مجال جرائم المخدرات.
