أعلنت شركة الجميح للطاقة والمياه، المستثمر والمطور والمشغل السعودي الرائد لمشروعات المرافق والبنية التحتية في المملكة العربية السعودية، و أعضاء تحالفها مجموعة عجلان وإخوانه المجموعة الرائدة متعددة القطاعات، وشركة بحور للاستثمار ومجموعة كهرباء فرنسا (EDF) ،عن تحقيق الإغلاق المالي لمشروعي طيبة-2 والقصيم-2 لإنتاج الطاقة الكهربائية بتوربينات الغاز ذات الدورة المركبة (CCGT) بسعة إجمالية تبلغ 3.

96 جيجاواط، في المملكة العربية السعودية.
وقد تم تمويل المشروعين من خلال مزيج من قروض التمويل التجسيرية وقروض الدين الأساسي من قبل بنك الرياض، والبنك السعودي الأول، وبنك أبوظبي التجاري، والبنك السعودي الفرنسي، والشركة العربية للاستثمارات البترولية (أبيكورب)، والبنك السعودي للاستثمار، وبنك الجزيرة، وبنك دبي التجاري و بنك أبوظبي الأول، بقيمة تقارب 3.9 مليار دولار أمريكي (ما يعادل 14.6 مليار ريال سعودي). حيث سيكون لهذا التمويل دور رئيس في تسريع تطوير وتنفيذ المشروعين، واللذين سيكونان أول مشروعين في المملكةمع الجاهزية لبناء وحدات التقاط ثاني أكسيد الكربون ،بما يساهم في تحقيق مستهدف رؤية السعودية 2030 ومبادرة السعودية الخضراء. كما سيتم تجهيز المشروعين بأحدث توربينات الغاز من فئة HL، من شركة سيمنز الألمانية، بالإضافة الى توربينات البخار والمولدات، والتي ستنتج حوالي 2,000 ميجاواط من الكهرباء من كل مشروع.

"الملك سعود" و"الأميرة نورة" تعلنان النتائجويأتي مشروعا طيبة-2 والقصيم-2 ضمن مشاريع قطاع الكهرباء في المملكة، بإشراف وزارة الطاقة، في رحلة القطاع نحو تحقيق مستهدفات مزيج الطاقة الأمثل لإنتاج الكهرباء (50% طاقة متجددة و50% طاقة منتجة من محطات عالية الكفاءة تعمل بالغاز)، وإزاحة الوقود السائل من محطات التوليد وتقليل انبعاثات ثاني أكسيد الكربون بمقدار يصل إلى 278 مليون طن سنوياً بحلول عام 2030. من خلال تطبيق نهج الاقتصاد الدائري للكربون.
وفي هذا الإطار، صرح الأستاذ إبراهيم الجميح، رئيس مجلس المديرين لشركة الجميح للطاقة والمياه: "نحن فخورون باختيارنا من قبل الشركة السعودية لشراء الطاقة (المشتري الرئيس) ووزارة الطاقة في المملكة العربية السعودية للعمل كقائد التحالف لمشروعي طيبة-2 والقصيم-2 لبناء وامتلاك وتشغيل أول محطات توليد الكهرباء بتقنية الدورة المركبة مع الجاهزية لبناء وحدات التقاط ثاني أكسيد الكربون في المملكة. كما أن نجاح الإغلاق المالي لهذه المشاريع الاستراتيجية دليل على قدرة شركة الجميح للطاقة والمياه كمطور رائد لمثل هذه المشاريع الحيوية، إلى جانب الخبرة المشتركة لشركائنا، الذين يعملون كفريق واحد لتوفير ما يقارب 4 جيجاوات من الطاقة النظيفة لتعزيز قدرات التوليد في الشبكة الكهربائية في المملكة العربية السعودية، الشبكة الكهربائية الأكبر في الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، بما يساهم في تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 ومبادرة السعودية الخضراء ".
كما ذكر الاستاذ عجلان العجلان رئيس مجموعة عجلان وإخوانه: "مشروعات طيبة-2 والقصيم-2 تمثل التزام مجموعة عجلان وإخوانه الثابت تجاه قطاع الأعمال في المملكة وحرصنا على تطوير قطاع المرافق، وقال العجلان: "يتوافق هذا التعاون مع شركة الجميح للطاقة والمياه والشركة السعودية لشراء الطاقة (المشتري الرئيس) مع رؤيتنا الاستراتيجية وأهداف رؤية السعودية 2030. ونحن فخورون بالمساهمة في هذه المشاريع المهمة، التي تمثل محطات بارزة في مهمتنا المشتركة لدعم تحول الطاقة والتنمية المستدامة في المملكة."

وقالت السيدة بياتريس بوفون، نائبة رئيس مجموعة كهرباء فرنسا (EDF) المسؤولة عن القسم الدولي ورئيسة مجلس إدارة شركة EDF للطاقة المتجددة والرئيسة التنفيذية: "نود أن نشكر الجهات الحكومية المعنية في المملكة العربية السعودية، وخاصة وزارة الطاقة، والشركة السعودية لشراء الطاقة (المشتري الرئيس)، على الثقة التي أولوها لتحالفنا لتطوير وتمويل وبناء وتشغيل أول محطات توليد للكهرباء في المملكة بتقنية الدورة المركبة مع الجاهزية لبناء وحدات التقاط ثاني أكسيد الكربون . حيث أن تحقيق الإغلاق المالي لمحطتي طيبة-2 والقصيم-2، بقدرة إجمالية 3.96 جيجاواط، يمثل مرحلة مهمة في التزامنا بدفع عجلة حلول الطاقة المستدامة؛ من خلال دمج التقينة المبتكرة، كما أننا لا نحسّن كفاءة وموثوقية إنتاج الطاقة فحسب، بل نساهم أيضًا بشكل فعال في تقليل انبعاثات الكربون، من خلال العمل مع شركائنا ، بالتواجد في طليعة المشاريع الرائدة التي تسهم في تحقيق تحول الطاقة العالمي وتدعم أهداف المناخ الطموحة للمملكة."
