أعلن مستشفى الدكتور سليمان الحبيب بالخبر، عن تشغيل وحدة متخصصة لعلاج الحروق لمختلف حالات ومستويات إصابات الحروق، وتقديم الرعاية الصحية وفق أعلى المعايير، وكذلك معالجة مترتباتها التي يمكن أن تؤثر على وظيفة العضو المصاب، أو على المظهر الجمالي للمصاب.
وقال الدكتور يوسف المبارك استشاري العناية الحرجة ورئيس القسم، أن تشغيل الوحدة ياتي في إطار خطط المستشفى للتوسع في التخصصات الدقيقة، ولتأمين رعاية صحية أكثر شمولاً وتخصصية لإصابات الحروق بالمنطقة الشرقية، وذلك على أيدى فرق طبية تضم كفاءات من تخصصات مختلفة، كالعناية المركزة وجراحي التجميل، والجراحة العامة وأخصائي مكافحة العدوى، من حملة شهادات الزمالة الأمريكية والأوروبية، بالإضافة للممرضين المدربين وأخصائيي العلاج الطبيعي، إذ يُمكّن هذا التنوع الكبير في التخصصات والخبرات من تقديم خدمات علاجية تتسم بالشمول وتلبي احتياجات كل مراجع على حدة، وصولاً إلى أفضل النتائج.
