رئيس الاحتياطي الفيدرالي الأمريكي يحذر من أمر خطير تعاني منه بلاده ويدعو لحل عاجل

أعلن رئيس مجلس الاحتياطي الفيدرالي الأمريكي جيروم باول عن ضرورة "القيام بشيء ما" والتحرك لخفض مستوى الدين الوطني العام في البلاد.
وقال جيروم باول في كلمته أمام منتدى البنوك المركزية:"على المدى الطويل، نحن بحاجة إلى القيام بشيء ما، ومن الأفضل القيام بذلك عاجلا وليس آجلا".
وأشار إلى أن "الوضع الحالي مع القروض الحكومية غير مقبول".
وأضاف جيروم باول أنه يريد تحقيق المزيد من التقدم في احتواء التضخم قبل أن يصل إلى القناعة الكاملة بقرار خفض الفائدة، محذرا من التحرك المبكر لتخفيف السياسة النقدية.
ووفقا لوزارة الخزانة الأمريكية، فإن مستوى الدين العام الأمريكي يتجاوز بالفعل 34.7 تريليون دولار.
وتوقع صندوق النقد الدولي في يونيو زيادة حصة ديون الحكومة الأمريكية إلى الناتج المحلي الإجمالي إلى 140%، فيما وصف خبراء الصندوق هذا الاتجاه بأنه تهديد للاقتصاد العالمي، مشيرين إلى أن المخاطر بشكل عام لا تزال معتدلة.
