في إنجاز طبي جديد لقسم المسالك البولية في مستشفى المواساة بالدمام، نجح الفريق الطبي في المستشفى من إنهاء معاناة مريض يعاني من وجود ورم بالغدة الكظرية (فوق الكلوية) بالكليِة اليمنى.

وكان المريض قد قام بعرض حالته على العديد من الجهات الطبية في أكثر من مستشفى، ولم تُكلل محاولاتهم بالنجاح للتعامل مع مثل هذه الحالات النادرة.

وبفضل من الله وتوفيقه تم إجراء جراحة ميكروسكوبية بمناظير البطن - واستئصال كامل الغدة المتضخمة مع المحافظة الكاملة على الكليِة، وهذه العملية تُعد من العمليات التي قد تحتوي على صعوبة عالية ، حيث إن الوضع التشريحي للكليِة الملتوية يختلف في وضعيته تمامًا عن الكليِة المتواجدة في مكانها الطبيعي، وعليه فإن هذه العمليات تحتاج إلى مهارة عالية من الفريق الجراحي كاملا.

وبحمد الله تماثل المريض للشفاء وخرج من المستشفى لممارسة حياته بشكل طبيعي في اليوم التالي من العملية.
