(CNN)-- قال المتحدث باسم هيئة الأركان المشتركة في كوريا الجنوبية، الخميس، "إن مزاعم كوريا الشمالية بشأن إجراء تجربة صاروخية ناجحة غير صحيحة، واصفاً مزاعم بيونغ يانغ (عاصمة كوريا الشمالية) بالنجاح بأنها "أساليب خداع ومبالغة".
واستطرد المتحدث باسم هيئة الأركان المشتركة، لي سونغ-جون، في مؤتمر صحفي قائلاً: إنه على عكس ادعاءات كوريا الشمالية بأنها أجرت بنجاح اختباراً لفصل الرؤوس الحربية المتنقلة الفردية وقدرات التحكم في التوجيه في اليوم السابق، فإن تقييم هيئة الأركان المشتركة كان أن الصاروخ "انفجر في المرحلة الأولى من الطيران".
وأضاف لي أنه خلال الاختبار الناجح، يجب أن تنفصل الرؤوس الحربية المتعددة عن الصاروخ أثناء مرحلة الهبوط من رحلته، لكن الصاروخ الكوري الشمالي انفجر في مرحلة مبكرة أثناء الإطلاق.
وأشار أيضًا إلى أن بيونغ يانغ ربما قامت بتلفيق الصور التي نشرتها وكالة الأنباء المركزية الكورية، الخميس، مقترحاً أنها ربما استخدمت صورًا للصاروخ الباليستي العابر للقارات الذي أطلقته كوريا الشمالية في مارس من العام الماضي.
وقال لي إن "سلطات الاستخبارات في كوريا الجنوبية والولايات المتحدة تجري تحليلا متعمقا". مضيفاً أن نية كوريا الشمالية ربما كانت التغطية على إخفاقاتها الأخيرة بما في ذلك انفجار قمر صناعي للتجسس أثناء إطلاقه الشهر الماضي.
ويذكر أن الاختبارات الصاروخية بكوريا الشمالية تهدد بإطلاق سباق تسلح في آسيا، مع قيام الدول المجاورة ببناء جيوشها، في حين تعهدت الولايات المتحدة بالدفاع عن كوريا الجنوبية واليابان من خلال "مجموعة كاملة من القدرات، بما في ذلك النووية".

وقال المتحدث باسم قوات العمليات الخاصة الكولونيل أولكسندر كيندراتنكو إنّه "خلال الأسابيع الثلاثة الماضية، لم نر أو نرصد أيّ نشاط أو مواجهات عسكرية مع الكوريين الشماليين.
