احتفلت مؤسسة البصر العالمية مؤخراً بوضع حجر الأساس لمشروع مجمع مستشفى مكه لطب العيون في مدينة باوتشي بدولة نيجيريا الإتحاديةعلى ارض مساحتها 2630 م2 حصلت عليها المؤسسة من الحكومة الإتحادية النيجيريه وقال الدكتور عادل بن عبدالعزيز الرشود رئيس مجلس الأمناء لمؤسسة البصر العالمية إن هذا المشروع ضمن عدد من المشاريع الإنسانية التي تقوم بها المؤسسه في العديد من الدول الآسيوية والإفريقية لعلاج العيون وذكر أن مشروع المستشفى يتكون من مبنى ذي طابقين ويشتمل على الأقسام التاليه :
1/ مبنى العيادات الخارجية ويتسع لسبعة عشر عيادة وفحص
أخبار متعلقة "الطيار" و"المجناز" و"الغر".
3/ قسم التنويم بسعة 12 سرير وغرفتين خاصتين
4/ قاعات اجتماعات ومؤتمرات ومناطق انتظار بالإضافة لإدارة المستشفى والمستودعات
5/ اربع وحدات سكنية للعاملين من الجنسين
6/ مسجد ومصلى نساء
7/ مغسلة ملابس ومعمل نظارات
8/ محطة توليد الطاقة " للطواريء"
9/ صيدليه ومعرض نظارات وبوفيه
10/ مواقف سيارات خارجيه
11/بئر ارتوازية لتغذية المجمع
12/ محلات للإيجار كوقف للمجمع

من جانبه، أوضح مدير المعهد الصناعي الثانوي بالدمام والمشرف على البرنامج المهندس إسماعيل بن عباس المطاوعة، أن “بيدي” يعد من المبادرات الرائدة في مجال التدريب المهني للفتيات، حيث يشمل تأهيلهن في تخصصات مطلوبة في سوق العمل، وذلك بإشراف مدربين متخصصين وفي بيئة تدريبية متكاملة.
