وأكد الرئيس الفريق أول سلفاكير ميارديت رئيس جمهورية جنوب السودان، دعم بلاده الكامل لطلب المملكة العربية السعودية لاستضافة معرض إكسبو 2030 في مدينة الرياض، معرباً عن ترحيب بلاده بعقد القمتين "القمة السعودية الأفريقية الأولى، والقمة العربية الأفريقية الخامسة" في المملكة العربية السعودية هذا العام.
وجاء ذلك، خلال استقبال رئيس جنوب السودان للمستشار بالديوان الملكي أحمد بن عبدالعزيز قطان، اليوم في العاصمة جوبا.
وخلال اللقاء، نقل "قطان" رسالة شفهية من خادم الحرمين الشريفين الملك سلمان بن عبد العزيز آل سعود، إلى رئيس جنوب السودان، تتصل بالعلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين الصديقين وسبل تعزيز التعاون المشترك.
