السيسي يفكر في زراعة محاصيل أكثر ربحا من القمح

قال الرئيس المصري عبد الفتاح السيسي، الاثنين، إن زراعة محاصيل أكثر ربحية من القمح، قابلية للتصدير، قد تعود بالنفع على البلاد.
وقال السيسي في حفل بمناسبة موسم حصاد القمح المحلي الحالي "متقوليش النهاردة (لا تقل لي اليوم) أنا عندي أقدر أزرع مليون فدان بالقمح يطلعولي بنص مليون طن أو حاجة، وأنت تقدر تزرع بيهم منتجات أخرى تساوى قيمة القمح ثلاث مرات، دا نقاش بنتكلم فيه".
وأضاف أن مصر يمكنها تصدير هذه المحاصيل المربحة، واستخدام عائداتها في استيراد القمح.
ومصر واحدة من أكبر مستوردي القمح في العالم، وعادة ما تستورد ما يقرب من 10 ملايين طن سنويا.
وتستورد الحكومة حوالي نصف هذه الكمية لتوفير الخبز المدعوم لعشرات الملايين من المصريين.
وتمثل محدودية الموارد المائية وتزايد عدد السكان تحديات أمام تحقيق الاكتفاء الذاتي من القمح في مصر.
واعتبر السيسي، في تصريحات أخرى اليوم، إن المياه تمثل عاملا مهما في تحديد نوع الزراعات ومنتجاتها لتحقيق استفادة من كل نقطة مياه.
كما شدد على أهمية التصنيع الزراعي وإمكانية الاستفادة من مجالاته المتعددة، ضاربًا المثل بالقول: "قِشر البرتقال يمكن أن يتحول إلى علف"، بحسب ما أورد موقع جريدة "الشروق".
