دشّن سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، ولي عهد دبي رئيس المجلس التنفيذي مشروع "مشد دبي" الرائد والمميز للاستدامة بإطلاق الدفعة التمهيدية من وحدات الشعاب البحرية حيث يأتي المشروع ضمن مبادرة "دبي تبادر" للاستدامة، ويعد أكبر مشاريع تطوير الشعاب البحرية في العالم، ويمثل خطوة رائدة في رحلة دبي نحو الحفاظ على البيئة.
وأكّد سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، أنّ المبادرة المهمة تجسّد رؤية صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، نائب رئيس الدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي، رعاه الله، في تحفيز الجهود للحفاظ على استدامة الحياة الفطرية والبيئية، لاسيما أن الشعاب البحرية تعتبر مورداً فريداً وعنصراً مهماً لحماية مختلف أشكال الحياة البحرية، إذ سيسهم مشدّ دبي في الارتقاء بالمنظومة البيئية في مياه سواحلنا وبما يرفد الجهود العالمية في الحفاظ على البيئة، بينما سيكون للمشروع كذلك على المدى البعيد تأثيرات كبيرة على الصُعد الاقتصادية والبيئية والاجتماعية، تأكيداً لالتزام دبي بتأمين مستقبلٍ مستدام للأجيال القادمة.
ومن المقرر تثبيت حوالي 20 ألف وحدة من الشعاب البحرية بأحجام متفاوتة خلال الأربع سنوات القادمة، ليكون بذلك "مشد دبي" من المشاريع البيئية المميزة والضخمة للمدينة، لاسيما أنه يمتد على مساحة 600 كيلومتر مربع في المياه الإقليمية لدبي، ويبلغ حجم هذه الشعاب حوالي 400 ألف متر مكعب.
تنمية البيئة البحرية
ويأتي تنفيذ مشروع "مشد دبي" في إطار توجيهات سمو ولي عهد دبي بالاهتمام بالبيئة البحرية والعمل على حمايتها وإكثارها بما يحافظ عليها ويسهم في تنميتها للأجيال القادمة، فيما يعكس المشروع الشراكة الحقيقية والتعاون المثمر بين القطاعين العام والخاص لتحقيق الأهداف الاستراتيجية والرؤية الطموحة لدولة الإمارات بشكل عام ولدبي على وجه الخصوص، وبما يخدم أهداف "أجندة دبي الاقتصادية "D33" ، والأجندة الوطنية الخضراء 2030، والمبادرة الاستراتيجية لتحقيق الحياد المناخي 2050.
وعقب الانتهاء من الدراسة الأولية بإشراف سعادة أحمد محمد بن ثاني، مدير عام هيئة دبي للبيئة والتغير المناخي، وشركة المقاولات "هايجو إكس"، تم إطلاق أولى وحدات الشعاب البحرية في إطار البرنامج التجريبي لمشروع "مشدّ دبي". وستعمل هيئة دبي للبيئة والتغير المناخي التي تمّ إنشاؤها مؤخراً إلى جانب دائرة الاقتصاد والسياحة بدبي، لتكون شريكاً أساسياً يضمن سير إنجاز المشروع بنجاح. ويساهم سعادة أحمد محمد بن ثاني، بوصفه مدير عام الهيئة في دعم المشروع وترسيخ مكانة الإمارة في مجال حماية البيئة والعمل المناخي. وتعدّ كل من "دي بي ورلد"، و "غُرف دبي"، و"نخيل"، و"مؤسسة الموانئ والجمارك والمنطقة الحرة"، و"طيران الإمارات" شركاء استراتيجيين لـ "مشدّ دبي" إلى جانب "دائرة الاقتصاد والسياحة بدبي".
تعزيز الاستدامة
وتعليقاً على هذا الموضوع، قال سعادة هلال سعيد المري، المدير العام لدائرة الاقتصاد والسياحة بدبي: "يتماشى مشروع "مشدّ دبي" مع الرؤية الطموحة لسيدي صاحب السمو الشيخ محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، نائب رئيس الدولة رئيس مجلس الوزراء حاكم دبي، رعاه الله، وتوجيهات سمو الشيخ حمدان بن محمد بن راشد آل مكتوم، ولي عهد دبي رئيس المجلس التنفيذي، فالمشروع يعكس التزام الإمارة بتعزيز الاستدامة والحفاظ على البيئة، كما تتيح الشراكة بين القطاعين العام والخاص في حشد الجهود والخبرات وتوظيفها للوصول إلى مستقبل مستدام بما يتماشى مع الأهداف الطموحة لأجندة دبي الاقتصادية D33".
تعزيز الحياة البحرية بدبي
من جانبه، قال سعادة أحمد محمد بن ثاني، مدير عام هيئة دبي للبيئة والتغير المناخي: "سيوفر مشروع "مشدّ دبي" بيئات متنوعة لجذب الأسماك وتعزيز الحياة البحرية. وقد عقدنا في عام 2021 شراكة مع شركة المقاولات "هايجو إكس" العالمية لدراسة المشروع لمدة عامين، وذلك بعد مراجعة شاملة لأفضل الممارسات العالمية، لتحليل فعالية الشعاب البحرية المصممة لهذا الغرض في دبي. واعتمدت الدراسة على تقنيات متقدمة باستخدام نظام المسح ثلاثي الأبعاد لفهم كميات وأنواع الأسماك الموجودة، لتظهر البيانات الأولية توسعاً كبيراً في نطاق الحياة البحرية".
من جانبه قال راي داليو، مؤسس والرئيس المشارك لشركة Bridgewater Associates: "أن مشروع مشد دبي الرائد، سيكون مساهماً مباشراً في تعزيز فهم العالم لأهمية وفوائد ترميم المحيطات، حيث تتبنى دبي كما هي عادتها على الدوام الحفاظ على كافة الموارد التي تنعكس على استدامة الحياة البشرية على كوكب الأرض، بما تمثله الموارد البحرية من نقطة التقاء بين كوكب الأرض وازدهار البشرية.
جدير بالذكر أن مشروع "مشدّ دبي" يشكّل استثماراً استراتيجياً يهدف إلى ترك إرث دائم لحماية البيئة البحرية والحفاظ على تنوعها. وتنطوي رؤية المشروع وأهدافه الرئيسية على دعم التنوع البيولوجي والموائل الساحلية والبحرية في دبي وتنمية مخزون الثروة السمكية وحماية المنظومة البيئية. كما يعزز المشروع المسؤولية البيئية والازدهار الاجتماعي والاقتصادي والسياحة البيئية مع الحفاظ على الإرث البحري في دبي.
